Last summer while traveling through the Amalfi Coast, we fell in love with the town of Ravello, and the stunning hotel and gardens at Villa Cimbrone. This architectural jewel with lush landscaping and amazing views, is one of the top wedding venues in Italy and such a dream for us to photograph as wedding photographers.

Villa Cimbrone is a magnificent romantic villa, dating back to the 11th Century. It was built by the German nobleman Ernest William Beckett, and has also been home to various Italian aristocrats after him. The building itself is a perfect example of 19th-century Neoclassicism, with beautifully designed stucco decorations in every room and ornate frescos adorning its walls. One of the most iconic features of this villa, which makes it such a special location for weddings, and also happens to be the area that we loved the most while visiting, was its famous terrace “The Belvedere of Infinity”, which offers stunning views of the Amalfi Coast and Ravello’s Bay, as well as luxurious gardens.

Today, Villa Cimbrone serves as a wedding venue that caters exclusively to those looking for an unforgettable Italian wedding experience. Villa Cimbrone has so much to offer, and as a wedding venue it’s one of the most perfect, probably one of the most unique in the world. Wherever you look, you find beauty: from gorgeous formal gardens and lush green lawns to romantic walkways through lemon groves and even an infinity pool overlooking the sea. Not only does this estate feature amazing landscapes and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, but it also provides a variety of backdrops for you and your wedding party to enjoy for your wedding photographs, or even for capturing couple portraits at sunset.
